Who We Are

Insurance should help you recover — not wear you down.
BetterClaim gives homeowners the clarity, structure, and momentum to get through a property damage claim without getting outmatched by paperwork, process, and delay.

Our Mission

To make the claims process make sense—so regular people can document damage correctly, understand what's covered, and pursue a fair outcome with confidence.

Our Story

BetterClaim started after watching family and friends in Florida and California suffer major damage—then get stuck in a confusing, time-draining fight with insurance. Not because they did anything wrong, but because the system is hard to navigate when you're already dealing with loss.

We built BetterClaim to level the playing field: clear guidance, practical tools, and expert-informed workflows that help you catch what's missing and build a stronger claim file—so you can move forward faster.

What We Believe

  • People deserve straightforward help when life gets turned upside down.
  • Clarity creates leverage: better documentation, better decisions, fewer dead ends.
  • You should stay in charge of your claim—and keep your options open.

Who's Behind BetterClaim

Cody McIntosh — Founder & Adjusting Expert

Cody brings years of experience in property claims, including work as an insurance adjuster and a licensed public adjuster. At BetterClaim, he helps turn real-world adjusting knowledge into homeowner-friendly checklists, documentation standards, and "what to do next" guidance—so important line items don't get missed simply because the process is confusing.

Michael Flynn — Founder & Builder

Michael trained in architecture and has a background in construction, then moved into technology—working across multiple AI startups building practical tools for real-world problems. He built BetterClaim after seeing how often good people get stalled, under-informed, or under-scoped in the claims process—especially when time and stress are already maxed out.

BetterClaim provides educational tools and guidance only. Not a public adjuster or law firm. No representation.
